Det gamle snødekket regnes som stabilisert opp til ca 1200 moh etter kraftig mildvær og regn før helgen. Det har siden kommet litt ny snø i høyden med synkende temperatur.
Det er generelt lite snø i regionen.

Tirsdag formiddag ble det meldt om 10 cm ny snø over 250 moh siste døgn i Nordfjord. Fortsatt lokalt kraftige byger utover formiddagen og kuling fra N i høyden.

5 mm precipitation, up to 15 mm in the most exposed areas. Moderate gale from north. -10 °C to -2 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Wednesday 9. January 2019

2-5 mm precipitation. Fresh breeze from north, changing to breeze from the west during the afternoon. -11 °C to -3 °C at 1400 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Avalanche risk assessment

Det vil finnes flakdannelser fra mandag og tirsdag som vil trenge tid for å stabilisere seg. Det ventes at det fortsatt vil være mulig for en skiløper å løse ut middels store skred i noen heng.

Problemet vil være størst over tregrensen i leheng mot S og terrengformasjoner som har samlet mye snø de siste dagene.

Nedbøren kom med bygevær og det kan være lokale variasjoner i hvor mye snø som har kommet.
